DUT~ has approximately 33 000 students, the Durban University of Technology (DUT) is the first choice for higher education in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). It is located in the beautiful cities of Durban and Pietermaritzburg (PMB). As a University of Technology, it prioritises the quality of teaching and learning by ensuring its academic staff possess the highest possible qualification that they can get.
The Durban University of Technology is a result of the merger in April 2002 of two prestigious technikons, ML Sultan and Technikon Natal. It was named the Durban Institute of Technology and later became the Durban University of Technology in line with the rest of the universities of technology.
DUT, a member of the International Association of Universities, is a multi-campus university of technology at the forefront of higher education, technological training, research, and innovation. Minimum Requirements:
- A Post graduate qualification (NQF 9) in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management or related field PLUS a Global Rewards Professional Certification (GRP).
- Certificate in Payroll Administration or similar (Ideal).
- Experience in payroll systems Must demonstarte experience in an ERP system with preference of SAP Sucess Factor, salary forecasting, structuring and benchmarking experience.
- Developing salary structuring and benchmarking expertise.
- Sound job grading and design skills.
- In-depth expertise in pay scale design, incentive design and remuneration strategy and philosophy
development. - Experience in payroll management.
- Management of benefits administration.
- Developed strategic Total Rewards Management skills and expertise (Ideal).
- Driver’s License.
- Accreditation as a Master Rewards Practitioner by the South African Rewards Association (Ideal).
- At least 8 to 10 years’ experience as a Remuneration professional at senior management level, with expertise in establishing, developing and managing remuneration strategy.
- Experience in a Human Resources Environment.
- Experience in payroll administration and management.
- Experience in operating HR systems and high technological savvy.
- Experience in Higher Education Sector (Ideal).
- Conceptualise and maintain DUT Total Rewards Model.
- Manage Implementation of the Remuneration/Salary Administration Policies, Procedures and
Processes. - Manage Benefits Policies, Procedures and Processes.
- Manage Job Design and Job Evaluation.
- Oversees the administration, processing and maintenance of DUT
Payroll. - People Management.
Special requirements:
- Extensive travelling.
- Extended working hours.
