The Durban University of Technology is a result of the merger in April 2002 of two prestigious technikons, ML Sultan and Technikon Natal. It was named the Durban Institute of Technology and later became the Durban University of Technology in line with the rest of the universities of technology.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A degree in Human Resources/Law/Business Management (NQF level 7) or equivalent is required
  • 3 - 5 years experience in facilitating transformation and change.
  • Knowledge of HR policies & procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of employment practices in accordance with the latest legislation and SA Labour legislation and practices.
  • Knowledge of labour legislation e.g., Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act etc.
  • In depth technical knowledge and application of the B-BBEE Codes and Sector.
Summary of Duties:
  • Employment Equity Plan Development.
  • Coordinate and roll out transformation and diversity initiatives.
  • Coordinate and rollout adoption of changes.
  • Administration and document management.
  • Administration of the B-BBEE strategy.
Ideal: Registration with the SA Board for Personnel Practice or any other relevant and recognized body.
