Lecturer Position : Child and Youth Care (Department of Community Health Studies)

- A Masters Degree in Child and Youth Care or Master of Health Sciences with a topic covering aspects of the scope practice of Child and Youth Care
- One year lecturing experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a University.
- Current and active registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner.
- Experience in supervising undergraduate research
Recommendations
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the Child and Youth Care field.
Duties
- Lecture undergraduate modules in Child and Youth Care.
- Demonstrate leadership in teaching, research and community engagement.
- Take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate student research projects.
- Contribute to research by publishing articles and book chapters.
- Serve in committees within the University and in external professional organisations.
- Engage in community engagement and outreach.
- Undertake any other responsibility as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
