Required Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree / Advanced Diploma / B. Tech degree on NQF level 7 in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Project management certification would be an advantage.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in project management, with demonstrable evidence of successful project delivery in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid approaches)

Required Competencies

  • Knowledge of project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and communication
  • risk management and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Expertise in project governance and compliance
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task within a tight deadline environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, budget, and quality parameters.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Lead project teams effectively, providing direction, motivation, and performance management
  • Support the management of project budget including cost control and financial reporting.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain project governance frameworks and methodologies
  • Lead project meetings and status update sessions
  • Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Create and present project reports and presentations as may be required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management framework
  • Mentor junior project team members and contribute to building project management capability
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.
